The wascally wabbit was here

Au revoir to Easter. The Easter egg hunt was great. Three hours before the five year old reading whiz and the one and a half year old wrecking crane (great-nephews) arrived with parents and hugs and huge smiles, I began preparing the wascally wabbits surpwise. The plastic eggs were hidden in the front garden. Each had inside, a chocolate egg or a note with hints in rhyme to search further (inside) for gifts. They were excited to find the cheap plastic eggs, so I could have saved a lot of money.....but, don't you love to give gifts to kids that show appreciation with joyful squeals and gleeful howls? There was fun and hysterical laughing for the next two hours. One of the notes said that five eggs could be traded for a box (shoe boxes decorated with stickers) of toys. Sam started opening all the boxes. "Hey, one at a time." I said. "Well I have to look inside all of them so I can pick the best one." he said. Each box "cost" a certain number of eggs, so he was thrilled to have found just enough eggs to eventually open them all. Wabbits work in mysterious ways. Great fun!!!
